Winter Heat Spell
We are into our second day of 70°+ temperatures – untimely and unwanted for this part of the season. Grapes need dormant time to be their most fruitful.Of even bigger concern is the lack of rainfall. We have only had about 5 inches of rain since harvest – less than half of "normal" – and today the forecast is for dry at least through January 23rd. This morning even the NOAA forecast discussion described the situation as "worrisome."
Sheesh.
